Frequently asked questions
Maximin, Alltio, and remaining cameras
Is Maximin shutting down?
No. Maximin Management continues as a research and advisory company. We are exiting hardware sales and selling remaining camera inventory.
What does Maximin focus on?
The societal and economic effects of AI, including provenance, licensing, creator economics, and changes to institutions, work, and culture.
How is Maximin connected to Alltio?
Carl Gunell leads Maximin and founded Alltio in September 2025. Maximin’s research informs and supports Alltio’s work on an index connecting content with claimants and usage terms.
How much do the remaining cameras cost?
Each camera is $350, with shipping paid by the buyer. The remaining cameras are open-box, unused, and sold as-is.
Can I use a Verizon or another public-carrier SIM?
These cameras are intended for private cellular networks. They are not certified for public carriers, and public-carrier SIM operation is not supported.
How do I confirm CBRS compatibility?
Check the exact camera, installed cellular module, firmware, and your network before purchasing. LTE band 48 and 5G NR n48 are different capabilities; do not assume every variant supports both. Contact Maximin to confirm the specific unit.
Do the cameras include a dashboard or AI models?
No dashboard or Maximin AI models are included. Maximin does not provide custom-model maintenance. Confirm any manufacturer-installed analytics on the specific unit before purchasing.
